  • For payments at POS

    • To accept payments at the point of sale (POS) in bricks-and-mortar stores, you need an EP2 payment terminal, as this supports the PostFinance Card payment method. You can obtain EP2 payment terminals from PostFinance, for example.
    • An acceptance contract for Combo payment methods or PostFinance Card
    • The status of corporate customer
    • An account relationship with PostFinance or a third-party bank

    For online shop payments

    The following preconditions apply for acceptance in your online shop:

    • The status of corporate customer with company ID no.
    • An existing shop system (proprietary development or standard solution, e.g. Shopify or WooCommerce) 
    • Conclusion of the acceptance contract for PostFinance payment methods (business model and sector checked during the conclusion of the contract)

    For omnichannel payments

    For omnichannel payments, the relevant preconditions for both channels must be met:

    • Online shop payments: see preconditions for online shops
    • POS payments: see preconditions for payments at the POS
  • There are plug-ins or connected services for many of the most common shop systems in Switzerland. These can be used to integrate the PostFinance Checkout module so that you can accept the payment methods you require.

    What payment methods you actually accept depends on the choice of payment solution and acceptance partners.

  • Yes, you can change your subscription at any time. The current subscription will be invoiced pro rata on the date of the change, and the new subscription will be set up with the new prices. You can initiate a change of subscription for standard products independently in the Checkout back office. For promo products, a request via Support is required.

  • Yes, you can also accept the PostFinance Card at the POS payment terminal.
