Do you want to offer payment methods to your online shop’s customers as easily and flexibly as possible? You need a PostFinance Payment Service solution (PSP solution) for this. This is where Checkout from PostFinance comes into play.

Payment methods are integrated in two simple steps:

  1. Take out a contract with the right acceptance partner for your chosen payment method directly in the Checkout portal.
  2. Connect the Checkout portal and the integrated payment methods with your shop by plug-in or connected services.

Once the payment methods are integrated, there’s nothing standing in the way of easy and carefree online shopping. But Checkout doesn’t just shape your customers’ experience: as a provider, you can keep track of all incoming payments with ease thanks to the clear overview provided by the Checkout portal.

Other options with Checkout Flex

In addition to the stated payment methods, you can offer your customers the following payment options with Checkout Flex:

  • Charge customers recurring amounts, e.g. subscriptions, directly.

  • Your customers pay directly using a payment link with one of the given payment methods.

  • Automate debits by e-mail with charge flow.

  • Alongside the direct payment methods, you can also offer your customers payment by invoice or eBill. To do this, you also take out the QR module in the Checkout portal. This allows you to send the QR-bill via e-mail or as an eBill directly in e-banking. Checkout automatically compares incoming payments with the invoices/eBills sent and reports these back to your shop system and logistics. The system sends reminders automatically.

Simple accounting

You can find the sales reports (reconciliations) of the different acceptance partners and your sales receipts in your Checkout portal. You can export these as a CSV file with a single click and import them into your accounting software.

Fraud management

With us, you can protect yourself from online fraud by rejecting invalid payment methods before the transaction. You can also exclude certain payment methods and block transactions from selected countries.

You can send your customers e-mails or documents in your customized design.

Video session advice

Get advice over a 12-month period on the development of your payment solution in video sessions of approximately two hours. Book your session early. On request, we can also advise you outside our opening hours.

Documents and links

  • The security of transactions in your online shop takes the highest priority. Once you have submitted all required documents in the Checkout portal, they will be checked. Generally speaking, you can process the first transactions with the e-com bundle and All-in-One within ten days. With Flex, the time until the first transaction depends on the chosen acceptance partners. PostFinance has no influence over this.

  • You should take note of the following points when opening an online shop:

    • With which products would you like to attract interest in e-commerce?
    • How do you ensure packaging and transport in your online shop?
    • What payment options would you like to offer customers?

    Then decide on a domain name/Internet address for your shop and compare different solutions to set up your online shop.
